Act Of Valour

What makes this film something a bit different for me, is the incredible gimmick behind the film. All the actors are current Navy Seals! That truthfully is about the best bit of the film though. The action sequences and techniques used remind me of COD and they are pretty cool, but the film really lacks much of a story line!

The first bit of action involves the Seals quietly and efficiently slaying a load of baddies and getting back the girl which is a good scene but that's it. There is no dialogue with meaning and we don't really find out anything about the characters. The main bad guy reminds me of a bond villain which I thought was a bit out of place considering we were watching ruggedly trained Seals! He barely makes much of an appearance anyway and doesn't have any sort of charisma. The final scene was the only bit with a bit of drama, the soon to be father sacrifices himself to save his men which I did think was a good ending.

Apparently Top Gun had young men attempting to join the military, I doubt this will have the same sort of affect!

My Rating: 6/10
